Is MELA free?
Yes, MELA is free to use while we build it.
What ages is MELA for?
Everyone. Kids practise school Malti, and adults and newcomers can follow the Maltese for Foreigners track. Lessons are suggested by age when you sign up.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. MELA runs in any web browser on phones, tablets and computers.
When will the iPhone and Android apps be ready?
Kaptan Luzzu is getting a fresh coat of paint. Join the list on the Get notified page and we'll tell you when he sets sail.
I don't have a Maltese keyboard. Can I still answer?
Yes. Answers typed with a normal keyboard are accepted, and buttons let you add ċ, ġ, għ, ħ and ż.
Who made MELA?
The Fenech family from Malta. Our 9-year-old son came up with the idea.
